Your Donation to the Habitat Restores Can Now Help Local Refugees

Jewish Family Services and Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver are partnering to help with home furnishings and essentials for newly resettled individuals and families in the Denver area.

Through this innovative program, community members can donate high-quality, gently-used furniture and other household items to the Habitat for Humanity ReStores in Denver, Littleton, Arvada, or Aurora. In exchange for these community donations, JFS will receive ReStore credits to shop for the goods needed to set up homes for their refugee clients.

“This partnership is the first of its kind in Denver, and we are thrilled to partner with Habitat for Humanity ReStores to offer this service to our donors and clients,” says Linda Foster, JFS president, and CEO.

The Habitat for Humanity ReStores are proud to partner with JFS to ensure newly resettled families in our city have the furniture and home goods they need to make their houses into homes,” said Jay Middleton, VP of ReStore Operations for Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver. “As a community member, you can donate your gently-used home goods to us and know that you are helping another family at the same time.”The Habitat for Humanity ReStores accepts a variety of gently-used home furnishings and clean, working appliances less than 10 years old.
