Home is the Key

Life looks and feels pretty different right now, and we hope that you and your loved ones are healthy and well.  Most of us are staying home and social distancing, and life seems to have taken on a different pace.  Whether it’s hosting a virtual zoom party, cooking a new recipe, or just holding on to your children a little tighter… our homes are the key to life’s small but significant moments.

Stable and affordable housing has never been more important.  Our partner families know this better than anyone as they struggle to balance life’s many demands. From holding down full time jobs and helping children with remote learning, to trying to put healthy meals on the table – they are working hard to keep everything afloat.  These families have had to endure living conditions that make it hard to remain healthy and safe.  Conditions like overcrowding, unsafe neighborhoods, and expensive rent payments that consume far too much of their monthly budget.

Our partner families have not lost hope as they keep their sights set on the future.  They have been working diligently for months now to help build and buy their safe, stable and affordable Habitat homes, and we need your help to get them to the finish line!

We can’t have volunteers on our construction sites right now, but that hasn’t stopped us.  Our dedicated construction staff are working tirelessly so that families can still close on their homes and move in this spring and summer.  Join us in this important work!
