AmeriCorps

AmeriCorps members play an essential role in building homes . . .

and transforming lives!

Members are selected from the across the nation to serve 10.5- to 12-month terms of service. AmeriCorps serve on our new construction and home repair projects, in our main office, and in our ReStores to further Habitat’s mission in our city.

Live, work and make a difference in Denver!

Why Habitat Denver?

At the foot of the Rocky Mountains, Denver provides endless potential for adventure and exploration, with all the perks of a major metropolitan city.

Due, in part, to those opportunities, Denver has also become the most expensive non-coastal city in the country. This has created an enormous need for affordable housing.

You have the power to help by serving with Habitat Metro Denver. Grow as an individual, grow your leadership skills, and help hardworking families have decent, affordable places to call home.

Housing

At the end of each day, you can rest and relax in the subsidized housing we provide our AmeriCorps members. Each unit has private bedrooms, a full kitchen, outdoor space, and designated parking.

AmeriCorps connects individuals and organizations to tackle the nation’s most pressing challenges.

AmeriCorps focuses on these key areas to make an impact:

  • economic opportunity

  • disaster response

  • education

  • environmental stewardship

  • healthy futures

  • veterans & military families.

The Habitat for Humanity AmeriCorps program is part of this growing national service movement. Our program places AmeriCorps members to serve building and repairing homes, expand housing services and engaging the community. A service term with Habitat provides hands-on nonprofit experience that allows members to learn and develop lifelong skills and confidence. Our members serve a critical role in helping Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build a better future for themselves and their families.
