Why Habitat Denver?

Due, in part, to those opportunities, Denver has also become the most expensive non-coastal city in the country. This has created an enormous need for affordable housing.
You have the power to help by serving with Habitat Metro Denver. Grow as an individual, grow your leadership skills, and help hardworking families have decent, affordable places to call home.
Benefits & Pay
In exchange for your service, National AmeriCorps members receive an annual living stipend of approximately $17,600.
Upon successfully completing their service, members receive a $7,395 Segal Education Award (which can be used to pay off student loans or pursue future education).

The Habitat for Humanity AmeriCorps program is part of this growing national service movement. Our program places AmeriCorps members to serve building and repairing homes, expand housing services and engaging the community. A service term with Habitat provides hands-on nonprofit experience that allows members to learn and develop lifelong skills and confidence. Our members serve a critical role in helping Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build a better future for themselves and their families.
