Summer Internship Program

Looking for a meaningful way to spend your time this summer?

Join our summer internship program at the Habitat ReStores

Do you enjoy meeting new people? Do you have service hours to complete for graduation? Do you want to make  a meaningful impact on your community? Then why not become a summer intern with the Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver ReStores? The ReStores are home improvement thrift outlets where all profits support Habitat Denver’s mission to provide affordable housing in our community.

The Habitat Denver Summer Internship Program is an opportunity for high school students to gain valuable skills, learn about affordable housing issues, and make a difference by serving in a Habitat Denver ReStore one shift a week over the course of the summer.

So why intern with us?

Good question! It’s because, you will:

  • Enhance your skills and build confidence.
  • Complete high school volunteer hours in one summer.
  • Meet and interact with new people, fellow volunteers, and future homeowners.
  • Get experience that can lead to references for employment and college applications.
  • Receive an official letter of completion.

Here's what past participants have said!

“The idea that my work contributed to a greater process that allows people to build and purchase homes for themselves was very attractive.”
– Past participant

“Habitat will teach you customer experience, how to use different equipment, and how to manage yourself between the chaotic rush hours and the down times. You will develop subtle soft skills that will make you a better person.”
– Past participant
