Much to Celebrate. More to Build

It’s been a tough few weeks. Yet instead of focusing on the challenges, we’d like to take a moment to celebrate some exciting accomplishments.  We’re proud to share that two new families were able to close on their Habitat homes and have moved in since the pandemic started affecting everyday life in Colorado.  Families like Donna and Christopher, who have already shared special moments together like backyard barbeques and celebrating their son’s 14th birthday just one week after moving in.  Closing on homes and helping families achieve stable housing is a huge accomplishment – especially considering the disruptions we’re all currently experiencing from COVID-19.

Looking ahead at the month of April, we have five more families who are scheduled to close on their new homes and move in.  They will soon achieve their dream of safe, stable and affordable homeownership, but we need your help…

April is traditionally one of our busiest times of year for construction.  Yet because of COVID-19, our sites look quite different than usual.  We are committed to keeping our community safe by social distancing, which means we can’t work with our amazing volunteers right now.  However, our dedicated staff are working tirelessly so that families can still close on their homes and move in this spring and summer.

Now more than ever, we need your support so that our local partner families can achieve safety and stability through affordable homeownership.  If you’re in a position to help, please make a donation to our Emergency Housing Relief Fund today!
