home programs
We partner with qualifying families to buy homes with affordable mortgages. Habitat homeowners are involved in every step of the home buying process – volunteering with Habitat, getting to know our staff, and attending classes to become successful homeowners.
We work with people who face housing challenges like high costs, overcrowding, or unsafe conditions, and desire the stability of homeownership.
Homebuyers agree to work with Habitat staff and partners in their homeownership journey. This may include homebuyer education classes and volunteer hours (also known as sweat equity)
Homebuyers must meet income requirements and align with other criteria demonstrating financial readiness for homeownership.
Click on the projects below to see available homes and review the home buying process.
These homes are not yet available for sale. Continue to check this page for updates.
homeOWNERSHIP program
Habitat Metro Denver updates the income requirements for our homeownership program based on area market conditions. To purchase a Habitat home, you must make less than 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI), based on your household size (table below/right).
Please note: Meeting these income requirements doesn’t automatically mean that you will qualify to purchase a Habitat home. Please click on the home you wish to buy (above) to learn more about the specific requirements for that project and submit an application for formal approval.
