Mountain View Community Homes

Habitat Metro Denver built 20 new homes in the Havana Heights neighborhood in Aurora, providing affordable homeownership opportunities to families in a central part of the city.

Mountain View United Church is generously leasing the land for these homes to Habitat Metro Denver for 99 years in a land lease agreement. This land lease allows Habitat to keep the homes affordable to buyers, who will pay less in property taxes. The land lease model also ensures the homes will be affordable for families who purchase the homes in the future.

Project Highlights

  • Includes three- and four-bedroom duplexes with 1.5 – 2.5 baths and two dedicated parking spaces per unit. Some of the units will have garages as well.
  • This project sit on a cul-de-sac just off South Havana Street and near Havana Heights Park, in Cherry Creek School District and close to green spaces, public transit, and local businesses.
  • Located west of Highway 225 and just north of Parker Road, making it easy for future homebuyers to access local transit and commute to work or school.
