Meet Summer Internship Program Volunteer Trevor!

“The idea that my work indirectly contributed to a greater process that allows people to build and purchase homes for themselves was very attractive.”

Trevor is a hardworking Summer Internship Program volunteer and a student at Cherokee Trail High School. Trevor discovered a love for volunteering International Baccalaureate program, and has completed more than 100 volunteer hours at the Habitat Denver ReStore. “I choose to volunteer at the Denver ReStore because of its honest and ethical values. The organization- from orientation to work- was very concrete.” shares Trevor.

“Habitat will teach you customer experience, how to use different equipment, and how to manage yourself between the chaotic rush hours and the down times.” Trevor continues, “You will develop lots of subtle soft skills that will make you a better person.”

Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver’s Summer Internship Program engages students and young adults in the community through volunteering. It’s a great way to gain valuable work experience and make a difference in the community.
