Join Habitat Metro Denver’s Stay Home, Build a Home With Gingerbread Challenge!
Looking for a fun and creative way to give back this holiday season? Look no further! Join us for Habitat Metro Denver’s Stay Home, Build a Home Gingerbread Challenge!
The goal of this challenge is to raise awareness and funds for Humanity for Humanity. Participants will build a gingerbread house and post photos on social media, asking friends and family to make donations in support your build. You can purchase a gingerbread house kit at the store or build your own. Creativity and fun will be your most important tools in completing this challenge!
Here’s how to participate
- Build your gingerbread house.
Be sure to document your progress and finished product through pictures and short videos.
- Set up your fundraising page.
You’ll create your own fundraising page. We recommend that you set a fundraising goal of $250.
- Share your progress on social media…
…and build suspense by showing different phases (i.e., groundbreaking; wall raisings; roofing; landscaping). Get your audience to engage with you and donate in exchange for construction updates!
