Happy National Volunteer Appreciation Week!

Happy National Volunteer Appreciation Week from Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver! We could not do this critical work without our amazing volunteers. Whether you’ve painted a Habitat home, helped in the office or assisted a ReStore customer, every part of our mission is possible because of volunteers like you.

In an effort to help our community remain safe and healthy during this pandemic, we’ve closed our main office, construction sites and ReStores to the public and volunteers for the time being. But we cannot wait to see you all again once we are able to safely open. For now, please meet a few of our Habitat Core Volunteers who represent the heart, soul and spirit behind Habitat Metro Denver’s work.

“I enjoy the people, and the fun of rearranging and making an impact on the way the store looks in a short period of time.”
– Brianna, Core ReStore Volunteer

“I am a Restore Core Volunteer because I like the people, the work, and even the opportunity to take stuff home to repair and return for sale.”
– Jim, Wheat Ridge Core Metals Recycling Volunteer

“One of my life goals is to be of service, and I cannot think of a more meaningful, hands-on way, to meet this commitment than through Habitat for Humanity.”
– Roz, Office Core Volunteer.

“There is a tremendous need for housing that’s not going away any time soon. Plus, whenever I happen to run into one of the Habitat homeowners, I am motivated and inspired by their gratitude. Lastly, most of the time, it’s a fun way to spend the day with other Core Volunteers and Habitat staff.”
– Paul, Core Construction Volunteer
