Augustana Homes

Habitat Metro Denver built eight new homes in Denver’s Washington Virginia Vale neighborhood, providing families the opportunity to purchase homes with affordable mortgages in a vibrant part of the city.

Augustana Homes are possible thanks to a partnership with Augustana Lutheran Church, which is leasing the land to Habitat Metro Denver for the homes to be built. The church put out a request for proposals (RFP), inviting applications for an affordable housing developer to build homes on church-owned land. Habitat Denver responded to the RFP, and will now be able to build eight affordable homes on the site.
