Build an ADU affordably – with the support of expert partners
Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver is proud to be the construction partner for Denver Housing Authority’s Single Family + ADU Program (SF+ADU).
The program helps homeowners of all income levels plan, price, design, finance, and build an ADU on their residential property, and then rent the ADU affordably or house family members.
Thinking about building an ADU?
To participate, applicants must:
Own a home in Denver
Be an existing homeowner with ADU zoning in the City of Denver (as of Nov. 2024, all single-family homeowners in Denver have zoning that permits ADUs)
Choose a model that fits your lot
Choose between one of 10 pre-designed floorplans for a detached ADU. Models include 1-, 2-, or 3- bedroom, as well as ground-level or above-garage options.
Contribute to the cost of the ADU
Be able to finance the homeowner’s portion of the ADU cost. Financial support is available through the program.
