Partnering with homeowners for exterior repairs

Keeping homeownership sustainable and safe

Habitat Metro Denver partners with homeowners to provide critical exterior home repairs. Homeowners contribute volunteer hours and cover a percentage of their home repair costs.

Home repair applications are currently closed. By completing the questionnaire below, applicants can join the interest list and receive updates when applications reopen.

هل إصلاح المنزل معنا مناسب لك؟

When applying for our Habitat Metro Denver’s home repair program, applicants must be:

1. Seeking home repairs

We partner with homeowners who need critical repairs such as new roofing, siding, fencing, or other repairs to improve weatherization or safety.

2. Committed to partnership

Home repair homeowners and partners agree to work with Habitat staff and partners on the home repair process. This may include volunteer hours (also known as sweat equity).  

3. Financially ready

Homeowners must be current on their mortgage, insurance policy, and property tax payments and be able to pay a portion of the repair costs.

خطوات برنامج إصلاح المنزل

الخطوة 1: تأكد من استيفائك لمؤهلات البرنامج.

يجب على المتقدمين:
  • Own and live in their home in the city and county of Denver as highlighted in the map below. Note that mobile homes do not qualify for this program.
  • كن على اطلاع دائم بمدفوعات الرهن العقاري والضرائب العقارية. لاحظ أن الرهون العقارية العكسية غير مؤهلة لهذا البرنامج.
  • لديك بوليصة تأمين مناسبة لمالك المنزل.
  • أن تكون قادرًا على دفع جزء من تكاليف الإصلاح وكسب دخل يبقى ضمن إرشادات الدخل الخاصة بنا (الموضحة أدناه).
  • امتلكوا منازلهم وعاشوا فيها لمدة عام واحد على الأقل.
  • إثبات الحاجة إلى إصلاحات المساكن من خلال إظهار أن المنزل الحالي في حالة سيئة ، أو غير موفر للطاقة ، أو غير آمن ، أو لا يفي برمز المدينة.
يجب على المتقدمين أيضا إظهار استعدادهم للشراكة من خلال:
  • الوفاء بجميع المواعيد النهائية أثناء عملية تقديم الطلبات.
  • حضور جميع الفعاليات والدروس والاجتماعات المطلوبة.
  • إكمال جميع ساعات العرق قبل ساعات من بدء العمل في المنزل.

الخطوة 2: تلبية إرشادات الدخل

To qualify for a Habitat home repair, you must make less than the amount listed below per month for your household size. 

1 Person Household                       $6,233

2 Person Household                      $7,212

3 Person Household                      $8,013

4 Person Household                      $8,900

5 Person Household                      $9,613

6 Person Household                      $10,325

7 Person Household                      $11,038

8 Person Household                      $11,750

لاحظ أنه على الرغم من أن هذه الأحجام تمثل أكثر أحجام الأسر شيوعًا لدينا، فإن موئل مترو دنفر يخدم أسرًا يصل عدد أفرادها إلى 10 أفراد.

Important note: Habitat counts the following sources of income: wages, pension, retirement, SSDI, SSI, social security survivor’s benefits,  alimony/maintenance, child support, food stamps, unemployment (if it is not the sole income source), rental income, and other forms of income. Habitat does not count the following source of income: TANF and financial aid.

Step 3: Complete an interest form

 Please fill out the Home Repair Interest Form

Once we open applications, if you meet the requirements, you will receive an invitation to apply via email. In the application, you will:

  • Receive a link to our application and  document request
  • Have your application reviewed by our team to verify income and confirm household size
