Since 1995, Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver’s Women Build program has inspired women to engage with Habitat’s mission of building and preserving affordable housing. The Women Build program has three focus areas: volunteerism, skills building, and philanthropy. We hope you’ll join us by engaging with one or all of our Women Build initiatives.
With the need for safe and stable housing greater than it has ever been, Women Build Week brings women together to address our community’s housing-affordability crisis.
Women Build Week is a fundraiser. Each participant supports the project financially as well as through volunteer labor. Participants volunteering for one day of the build raise a minimum of $500. The donation supports Habitat for Humanity’s mission of building homes in partnership with hardworking families.
Each year, the Women Build program works to raise $150,000 to fund a Habitat for Humanity house, and donations made through the Women Build Society support that fundraising effort. Our goal in 2021, the first year of the Women Build Society, is to recruit 20 members. Sign up today to be an inaugural member of the Women Build Society!
Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver wants you to become a Women Build Warrior! Each quarter, Women Build Warriors gather at a Habitat Metro Denver build site to make an impact on the affordable housing crisis in Denver. Warriors help with a variety of construction tasks including window installation, hanging siding, painting, framing, and more!
